“One of my specialties is blepharoplasty, a surgery that removes unwanted and excess upper eyelid skin, resulting in improved peripheral vision and appearance. Patients routinely have improvement in their side vision and look younger and more revitalized. As a result of my experience and innovative insight, I have developed a novel medical device that markedly simplifies and improves this procedure. In 2021 we founded a company Osheru to develop and commercialize the Ziplyft device.  I love working with wonderful patients and caring staff at my practice at InFocus and at the Bend Surgery Center.”

Dr. Buehler attended the University of Chicago, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and the Bloomberg School of Public Health, as well as Casey Eye Institute. As an active community member, she has served on the boards of the Bend Surgery Center, Lines for Life and Summit Bank. She volunteers for Eyecare America, Volunteers in Medicine and has taught cataract surgeons from Viet Nam with the Hawaiian Eye Foundation.

She loves paddle boarding, skiing, and watching the OSU Beavers win with her husband, Knute. They have two grown children and a spoiled dog, Ferris.

"I adore being an eye doctor because I get to provide a service to people that is health improving and can be life altering. With the amazing technology of new implant lenses and surgical tools, I can often exceed a patient’s expectations."

"Ophthalmology provides me with continual stimulation. There are always new and interesting people to meet and a variety of diagnostic and surgical challenges. Learning about new research and innovations in the field keeps me motivated to always try to improve care for patients."

"One of my passions is the prevention of eye diseases. After medical school I did a Masters in Public Health and Preventative Ophthalmology. The prevention of disease and disability is very rewarding. My surgical passion is cataract and LASIK surgery. Successful surgery gives an enormous sense of personal satisfaction and accomplishment. I am able to use my physical skill and my intellectual skills at the same time."

"When a patient gives me a hug and says 'thank you,' I feel great joy in a job well done. It is enormously satisfying to know my efforts are acknowledged and appreciated and that I have made a difference in someone’s life."
