  • Responsibilities:

    • Conduct various diagnostic testing

    • Assist in minor procedures

    • Accurately scribe in electronic health record for providers

    • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment

    • Assist schedulers in triaging urgent patient symptoms

    • Fill prescriptions in compliance with eRX and refill protocols

    • Provide telephone support to patients regarding ocular emergencies and patient questions in compliance with clinic protocols

    • Accurate and efficient computer data entry

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent

    • Obtain Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) within two years of employment

    • Ability to stand for up to 7-8 hours per day

    • Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience

    • Team player

    • Punctual and consistent attendance

    • Patient care experience

    • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

    • Working knowledge of eye terminology, anatomy, pathologies, and ocular pharmacology

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $35,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year

  • This position is responsible for greeting, registering, and assisting patients in our clinic throughout the day for their eyecare medical needs. Answering incoming calls, scheduling appointments are major components of this position as well as other medical office business related tasks. Medical office experience is a bonus. Requires sitting up to 8.5 hours per day, lifting up to 15 lbs as needed.

Our emphasis is on excellent patient care with outstanding surgical outcomes for cataract, refractive (LASIK) and eyelid surgeries. We also provide general eye care health treatment from our Provider Team of (3) ophthalmologist & (3) optometrist.

    Pay: $18 per hour or more, depending on experience
