Dr. Winter Lewis is our residency-trained Optometric Physician specializing in medical eye care. He has over 21 years of experience treating and managing glaucoma and dry eye patients. He received his Fellowship from the American Academy of Optometry and in 2013 became certified with the American Board of Medical Optometry. Dr. Lewis currently serves as an adjunct professor for both the Pacific University College of Optometry and New England College of Optometry. Dr. Lewis proudly serves Central Oregon Veterans as a part-time staff member of the Bend Veterans Hospital Outpatient Clinic.
Dr. Lewis has participated in several research projects for both dry eye management and glaucoma treatment. In 2007 he was a participant in a FDA phase III study involving a new anti-inflammatory dry eye drop. As a prior member of the C.O.R.E. panel of speakers with Allergan Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Lewis has lectured on glaucoma management to other eye care providers in the Pacific Northwest. Winter lives in Sisters with his wife and two children. He enjoys both road and mountain bike riding and is an avid skier.
